Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO)
Thermoplastic Polyolefin, or TPO, is a combination of polyolefins such as polypropylene and polyethylene, impact modifiers, and mineral fillers such as talc and glass fibers. TPO offers a broad range of stiffness-impact balance, coupled with natural benefits of polyolefins such as excellent processability, colorability, UV stability and recyclability. TPO has effectively replaced many engineering plastics in automotive applications such as bumpers, energy absorbers, instrument panels and body panels.
